Youth Conservation Corps (YCC)

The Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) is a federal program employing youth ages 15 to 18 in conservation work on public lands. Every summer, Nez Perce NHP hires four to five local youth to participate in this eight week program. Enrollees work from mid-June to mid-August (exact dates vary each year), 40 hours per week. Participants have an opportunity to develop a better understanding and appreciation of natural and cultural resources, park maintenance needs, and park interpretation during their participation in the program.

Applications for the summer 2023 season are currently being accepted.

For more information, please contact the YCC Program Manager, Russ Cash, at e-mail us.
