Nathan and Polly Johnson House Virtual Tour

Welcome to the virtual tour of the Nathan and Polly Johnson House. The National Park Service and the New Bedford Historical Society worked in partnership to create this tour, providing the opportunity for everyone to see what is inside. This self-guided interactive tour and narrated video tour allows visitors to explore the interior of this historic home that is normally not open to the public. While navigating through the home you will explore the rooms and see furniture and décor similar to the time of the Johnsons’ occupancy. You will also learn about the important history of this house and the role it played in many African Americans’ lives in New Bedford and far beyond.
