National Capital Parks – East (NACE) relies on many recurring volunteers every year primarily related to visitor services, interpretation programs, and cultural resources at Oxon Cove Park & Oxon Hill Farm, Piscataway Park, and the three historic homes (Carter G. Woodson, Frederick Douglass, and Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Sites). Anacostia Park also recruits visitor service volunteers during the summer months to distribute skates at the skating pavilion. Artillery crew opportunities are available at Fort Washington.Interested in becoming a recurring volunteer? Refer to the resources below to find out how to get involved!
