On January, 21, 2012, Natural Bridges National Monument and Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum team up for a special free event. From 2:00-5:00 p.m. at Edge of the Cedars Museum, view the stars inside a portable planetarium and learn all about Navajo constellations and star stories through the program "Seeing the Skies through Navajo Eyes." Starting at sunset (approximately 5:30 p.m.), Natural Bridges Ranger Gordon Gower will present a talk on southeast Utah's perfect dark skies at the Monument's Visitor Center. Entrance fees for both parks are free for the entire day. For more information, please contact the Edge of the Cedars Museum at 435-678-2238. |
