Natural Bridges National Monument is seeking public comment on a proposal to raise entrance fees at the park.

This fee increase proposal is part of a larger National Park Service (NPS) initiative to standardize fees for park units offering similar visitor services and experiences. Fees at Natural Bridges National Monument have not increased since 2006.

Under this fee increase proposal the cost of entering the park would change to:

Type of
 Entrance Fee

Current Fee

Proposed Fee

Private
 Vehicle

$6

$15

Individual
(including entry by foot or bicycle)

$3

$7

Motorcycle

$10
 per motorcycle

Camping fees at Natural Bridges will remain at $10.00 per night.

Entrance Fees are not charged to persons under 16 years of age or to holders of the America the Beautiful National Parks and Federal Recreational Senior, Access or Military Passes. These passes are available at the park.

"Revenues from entrance and camping fees are used to improve facilities, infrastructure, and visitor services," said Natural Bridges National Monument Superintendent Jim Dougan. "We want to keep the park as affordable as possible while ensuring the best possible experience for visitors."

Projects completed at Natural Bridges that were made possible by fee money include: installation of new vault toilets and tent pads at the campground, remodeling of the Visitor Center restrooms, removal of exotic vegetation, and rehabilitation of the Sipapu Trail.Additional revenue raised by this fee increase would help fund new road signs, additional trail work, and infrastructure improvements that improve the visitors' experience.
