Effective on Sunday, October 4th, the Kelso Depot Visitor Center in the Mojave National Preserve will be open Thursday through Monday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Depot will be closed two days per week, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. "Staffing changes have led to this temporary adjustment of the schedule," said Todd Suess, the Preserve's Superintendent."We hope to return to a seven-day-per-week schedule in the near future." Restrooms at the site will remain available to visitors seven days a week, 24 hours per day. Kelso Depot is the Preserve's main visitor center in the park and a museum of the Preserve's history as an important Southern California railway connection. |
