Mojave Preserve is happy that Hurricane Hilary is past us.Rainfall can still occur but is due to the regular monsoon season. Crews are still out doing repairs. At this point, things are opening back up and we are starting to get back to normal. All major thoroughfares in and through the preserve either had some damage or heavy debris on them. Hole-in-the-Wall Visitor Center sustained extensive wind damage to the roof, but the inside of the building was untouched. Cleanup was a massive chore involving heavy equipment and personnel. It is still going to take some time to get back to where we were before the storm. Please be patient while our crews are making the road safe and passable again. Please visit our road conditions page for the latest information on road openings and closures.
