Over 100 species of birds can be found at Moores Creek National Battlefield. The park is also a member of the North Carolina Birding Trail, which is comprised of prime spots for birding of connecting with nature. The park is comprised of several habitats ranging from wet pine savanna to creek to dry uplands. This range of habitat brings a diversity of birds and wildlife to the park.
