Contact: Caleb Kesler, 928-567-5276 ext 222 The National Park Service would like to give our visitors a friendly reminder that pets are welcome in our monuments, but MUST be on a leash of 6 feet or less. Dogs off leash have been an especially big concern at Montezuma Well and in the Tavasci Marsh area of Tuzigoot National Monument. This regulation is not only for the safety of the wildlife within the monuments, but for the safety of visitors and their pets. Please recognize that having your pet off leash is a violation of the 36 Code of Federal Regulations §2.15. If contacted by Rangers and cited, the violation would cost $80.00. Thank you for your help in this matter and for your cooperation. |
