Beginning in October of 2016 and continuing through May of 2017, Montezuma Well and Tuzigoot National Monument will be hosting bird walks.

On the first and third Saturdays of each month, walks will take place at Montezuma Well, beginning in the picnic area. On the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, walks will take place at Tavasci Marsh, beginning at Tuzigoot National Monument's parking lot. Due to holidays, walks on November 26 and December 24 are cancelled.

Bird walks October through March will be from 9 am to 11 am. Bird walks in April and May will begin at 8 am until 10 am.  Participants are encouraged to bring water, binoculars, a hat, and to wear comfortable shoes for walking over uneven terrain.

The National Park Service celebrates its 100th Anniversary in 2016. Over 20,000 National Park Service employees care for over 400 of America's national parks and monuments and create close-to- home recreational and cultural opportunities.
