Martin Van Buren National Historic will offer reduced fall hours on weekends during the month of November.The visitor center will be open Saturdays and Sundays from 9 to 4:30. Restroom facilities, the museum shop, and a ten-minute introductory film are available throughout the day.
Guided tours of Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren’s home, will be offered Saturdays and Sundays at 10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, and 3:30 pm. Tours last one hour and cover the interior of the home, the Van Buren family, and the labor history of the site. Please sign up for the tour in the visitor center beforehand. Additional programs may be offered as staffing permits.
Facilities are closed Monday-Friday, but park grounds remain open daily from 7 am to sunset. Pick up a brochure in the parking lot and follow the three-quarter mile wayside loop to learn more about Martin Van Buren’s post-presidency home.
Facilities will close for the season on Sunday, December 8, following the holiday open house.
