There are many ways to explore the Manhattan Project in Los Alamos. The park visitor center, museums, World War II-era gathering places, pre-Manhattan Project structures and other sites share a multitude of stories that bring the history of the Manhattan Project to life. These places tell the story of a secret city and its role in the design, testing, and construction of the world’s first atomic weapons.
