HANFORD, WASHINGTON

There are numerous sites throughout the Tri-Cities that tell the Manhattan Project that you can visit at any time. The National Park Service does not own or operate any of these sites except for our visitor center, so please check the individual sites for hours of operation.

Visitor Center

The Hanford Visitor Center operates with these standard hours.

Summer Hours (April 1 to December 1)

7 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday

Closed Sunday

Winter Hours (December 1 through April 1)

8 am to 4 pm Monday through Saturday

Closed Sunday

Closed December 25 and January 1

Occasional unplanned closures may occur due to weather or staffing issues.

LOS ALAMOS, NEW MEXICO


Many of the sites and places associated with the Manhattan Project story in the town of Los Alamos can be visited year-round. The National Park Service does not manage any of these properties or facilities, save the visitor center, so please check with individual sites for additional information about when members of the public can visit.

Visitor Center

The Los Alamos Visitor Center operates with these standard hours:

Summer Hours (May 26 to October 31)

10 am to 4 pm daily

Winter Hours (November 1 to May 1)

10 am to 3 pm Thursday through Monday

Closed Tuesday and Wednesday

Closed December 25 and January 1

Occasional unplanned closures may occur due to weather or staffing issues.

OAK RIDGE, TENNESSEE


Many Manhattan Project sites throughout the City of Oak Ridge are open year-round. The National Park Service does not manage any of these sites with the exception of the Oak Ridge Visitor Center, located within the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge. Please contact all other points of interest directly for more information on operating hours and admission. The Oak Ridge Visitor Center hours operate in unison with the Children’s Museum of Oak Ridge.

The Oak Ridge Visitor Center operates with these standard hours:

Summer Hours (June through August)

9 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday

10 am to 4 pm Saturday

1 pm to 4 pm Sunday

Winter Hours (September through May)

9 am to 5 pm Tuesday through Friday

10 am to 4 pm Saturday

1 pm to 4 pm Sunday

Closed Monday

Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, New Years Day, MLK Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day
