Hanford: Overlooks & Quick Stops

Four people stand on a hill covered in low-growing shrubs looking and pointing towards dry grassy hills in the distance.
The White Bluffs Overlook is one of many quick stops and overlooks around Tri-Cities and the Hanford Site.

Enjoy panoramic views of the Tri-Cities region and catch glimpses of the past when Hanford produced plutonium for the Manhattan Project and Cold War. Quick stops include the Vernita Rest Area and the B Reactor Overlook, which give you expansive vistas of the shrub-steppe landscape and the B Reactor itself. For skilled hikers who are looking for exercise, the White Bluffs and Hanford High School overlooks provide excellent views of the Hanford site where you can spot relics of bygone eras.
