US DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY

Even today, many places associated with the Manhattan Project at Hanford are located on secure federal Department of Energy reservations and cannot be easily accessed by members of the public. Read the articles below for a glimpse behind the Manhattan Project fences and learn about the places with no or limited public access.

If you have a chance to visit Hanford, the Department of Energy offers tours to the B Reactor and Pre-War Historic Sites, which includes Bruggemann Ranch and White Bluffs Bank.
