The visitor center at Manzanar National Historic Site will be temporarily adjusting operating hours for the month of July 2024, effective as of July 5th. From July 5th through 31st, the visitor center will be open three days a week, Friday through Sunday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
The interpretive exhibits inside the Block 14 barracks and the mess hall will remain open and accessible seven days a week from 9:00 am to 4:15 pm. The grounds—including the 3.2 mile driving tour road, Merritt Park, gardens, and cemetery—are open daily during daylight hours.
This temporary change in hours will allow a severely reduced staff to bring new team members onboard.
