Scavenger Hunt
Start a park-wide scavenger hunt in addition to the Junior Ranger program to explore the park and answer questions about the history. Families that complete this will earn a special reward. Junior Ranger Workstation/Activity Corner Join Park staff to work on your Junior Ranger book and play other games. The station will be stocked with games, coloring pages, crayons, pencils, and other fun activities. Photography Station Try on civil war uniforms, equipment, and costumes to create your own civil war portrait with a polaroid camera. Station will also have stereoscope images to experience the civil war version of 3D images. Recruiting Office Join the US Army of 1861! Visitors can enlist in the army receiving reproduction enlistment papers, take the required oaths, muster into service, and learn about soldier life. |
