ATLANTA — On Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 11 a.m. until 6:00 PM, the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historical Park will collaborate with the King Center for their second annual Beloved Community International Expo. The National Park Service will create an International Youth Village and engage youth of all ages in fun educational activities, including international games, music, and dancing. Educational programs will focus on Dr. King’s vision of a “beloved community” of love and equality among all people throughout the world.
Superintendent Judy Forte states, “The National Park Service is excited to host the International Youth Village in partnership with the King Center’s International Expo. Youth of all ages will learn about other cultures and embrace Dr. King’s vision of a “world house.”
Activities will take place near the park’s Visitor Center, located at 450 Auburn Avenue, NE Atlanta, GA 30312.
This NPS event is FREE to the public.
