When visiting the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail visitor center in Omaha, NE, it is advised that you watch your step and be aware of your surroundings. Loose gravel and uneven surfaces can be tripping hazards. The visitor center is located in a popular urban location with many different types of trail users.

In winter, watch for ice on trails and sidewalks.

In summer, make sure to drink plenty of water and wear sunscreen on hot days.

 
There are many visitor centers and sites along the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. For safety information, visitors will need to contact each site directly.
