About the Project

The National Park Service created this interactive map in partnership with Terrain360 and with support from the Lewis and Clark Trust. Over multiple field seasons, teams used specialized camera systems on boats, kayaks, bicycles, vehicles, and on foot to capture a comprehensive visual record of the trail corridor. Their work spanned 16 states and documents hundreds of miles of nationally significant scenery and historic locations.

Beyond offering a virtual experience, the imagery serves as a long‑term visual record that supports stewardship and resource management along the trail.
