A large portion of the Lewis and Clark expedition was done over water, so we thought it would be a good idea to swing by Carter Lake and meet with the athletes of the Creighton University Women’s Rowing Team! It was an early morning for us--practice starts at 5:30am--and it was a bit cold, but we had a lot fun! The girls were so helpful in showing us how to row!
Harper even got to try her hand at being a coxswain (the person who steers the boat and directs the rowers)!
Afterwards, we followed the girls into the weight room, where they helped us deadlift, bench press, do core exercises and, of course, roll out afterwards!
Go Bluejays (@rowjays)!
