Pups visit Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Headquarters and Learn to Fold Brochures

April 03, 2018 Posted by: Audrey Sisel
We know there is a lot to learn before we start our journey on the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail.  We will spend the next few weeks learning about the National Park Service and the staff that commemorate and protect the trail.

Today we had a lesson from Ranger Ryan.  The Lewis and Clark National Trail Headquarters works to help people with their visits to any number of national parks. One of they ways they do this is through a whole bunch of brochures! Ryan showed us just a small portion that they have on display at the visitor center. We did have some trouble getting a pamphlet folded back up again--who doesn’t--but we figured it out!

Great job Ranger Ryan on your creativity and willing to create these ideas. It doesn't show if children are participating but I am sure they are eager, loving it and learning about Seaman and eventually become interested in the Lewis & Clark story. It takes a special educator Ranger who will work with the stuffed dog(s) as a teaching tool. I commend you and encourage you.
