This morning, we got to meet a key person involved in making the Lewis and Clark story accessible: Karla Sigala.
Just one of her many jobs is helping partners with their interpretive wayside exhibits. You know those wonderful information signs you see when you visit one of the locations on the trail? Karla has helped with many of those! She works with the various sites to write and design these wonderful information sources so that the story of the Corps of Discovery is available to all audiences! She’s also helping to develop the Long Range Interpretive Plan, which works to tell a more cohesive Lewis and Clark story from various perspectives.
She showed us a wonderful wayside exhibit, just outside the Omaha visitor center, right on the Missouri River.
