Safe and favorable weather conditions are expected from the middle of March through the end of May. Ignitions should be completed in one day at Fort Spokane and Bradbury Beach.Ignitions may take two days in Haag Cove and Rickey #1.Public and firefighter safety are always the highest priority in all fire management activities and project areas will be carefully monitored until they are fully extinguished.Residual smoke may be observed for up to two weeks post ignition. Wildland fire management activities conducted by the National Park Service (NPS) are guided by NPS management policies and the 2001 Federal Wildland Fire Policy.The National Park Service is strongly committed to firefighter and public safety.
