The fire fighters working on the Enterprise Fire have successfully completed all of the burnout operations as of this morning. Due to scattered pockets of vegetation and the steep terrain, however, you will continue to see smoke from this area for several weeks. This is normal. While the majority of fire fighters will be moved to other fires by the end of this week, a fire crew module will remain to regularly monitor burn conditions and suppress any flare ups that they can safely reach.

Fires are very disruptive and destructive. The fire has left dead trees, cracked bedrock above the shoreline, and hidden hotspots. Falling trees and rocks can happen with little to no warning. For your safety, we request that you stay out of the burned area and that you stay at least 100 yards from the burned area even from the water.

As of 8:00 pm Monday evening, the level 2 evacuation is lifted and no other evacuations are in place. The hyper-reach will notify local residents about the change in evacuation level. No other hyper-reach alerts are scheduled for the Enterprise Fire at this time.

The partial Lake Roosevelt closure between RM 52 and RM 58 are lifted effective Tuesday morning. The shoreline camping restrictions along this stretch of Lake Roosevelt as well as the Enterprise Boat-in Campground remain in place at this time. Fire fighters and park staff will continue to monitor the burn conditions and will lift these restrictions as soon as it is safe.

Please take a moment for your safety as well as the fire fighters. Pay attention to the weather reports and stay out of the area if you don't live there. Unauthorized visitors to the area hinder the fire fighters ability to effectively fight this fire and prevent its spread.
