Hiking along the Harbor Bay Trail, you will find several habitats along the way. This trail has several habitats such as riperian areas, lakeshore, mesatops, and Canadian River Breaks. These habitats each have their own component of life. As you hike the trail, you will encounter high stream-cut walls of the Canadian Breaks. These breaks form an extensive system of cliff faces and canyons. These area of land is virtually unchanged from prehistoric times with Mesquite, Yucca, and grasses interspersed with lemon sumac and other shrubs. Mule Deer frequent these breaks and predators such as bobcats and coyotes hunt along this trail. Be on the look out for scat and tracks. |
