Become a Junior Ranger
Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a national park ranger? Children may earn a Junior Ranger badge and certificate by completing a number of activities in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area Junior Ranger Guide and Activity Book. The Junior Ranger Guide and Activity Book is available for free at the Lake Mead Visitor Center and at the Katherine Landing Ranger Station. It is recommended that children 10 and older complete the entire book. Younger children must complete at least three activities. You may also request a Junior Ranger Activity Book at e-mail us or by writing to:

Become a WebRanger

As a WebRanger you will have fun while learning new things. You will solve mysteries and puzzles, play games, take part in stories, and gather secret words.


You may also enjoy becoming a Junior Underwater Explore, Wilderness Explorer or Paleontologist. When you complete the requirements, you may request a badge be sent to you by writing to the address above. Happy exploring.
