Traveling Trunk

The park has Traveling Trunks available to schools that cannot bring their students to the park, or for teachers who would like to do pre-visit lessons with their students. The trunks can be picked up from Kings Mountain NMP or shipped to the school; however, note that the trunks are rather large.

The trunks contain many items, including:

-Maps of the Kings Mountain Battlefield and for other battles fought in the Carolinas
-Colonial currency
-Colonial flags
-Colonial music CD with songbook
-Photos of Kings Mountain Battlefield, along with photos of the monuments and leaders of the battle
-Colonial games
-Soldier accoutrements
-Colonial clothes - one set each for men, women, boys, and girls
