Do you want to know how to track down hard-to-find information about your ancestors? Or, are you simply curious about your family's background? Advanced genealogists and beginners alike will want to attend this session with the Houghton-Keweenaw County Genealogical Society as they explain how to learn more about your family through various historic and archival records, including immigration, census, and work papers.

This event will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Carnegie Museum located at the corner of Huron and Montezuma streets in Houghton, Michigan. It is part of the Fourth Thursday in History speaker series sponsored by Keweenaw National Historical Park.

The Fourth Thursday in History presents public presentations on important aspects of Copper Country and regional history, including techniques for historic preservation. Presentations are scheduled in venues throughout the Keweenaw Peninsula, particularly at historic sites associated with specific topics. They are free and open to the public.
