As of February 22, 2010, federal law makes possession of firearms in national parks subject to local and state firearms laws. Visitors are responsible for knowing, understanding, and complying with all applicable state, local, and federal firearms laws before entering Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens. See Division I, Title 7, Subtitle J, Chapter 25, and Division IV, Title 22, Subtitle VI, Chapter 45 Federal law continues to prohibit firearms in federal facilities. At Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens, these facilities include the visitor center, offices, greenhouses, hot houses, and maintenance facility. Signs at the public entrances inform visitors that firearms are prohibited inside these facilities. |
