The Jimmy Carter National Historical Park welcomes visitors with free admission to the park daily. We suggest that you start your visit at the Plains High School which houses the park's Visitor Center and Museum. The historical park is open daily except on New Year's Day (January 1), Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day (December 25). Operating Hours are as follows for the different facilities in the park: Plains High School Visitor Center and Museum- main visitor center, orientation film, bookstore
9:00 am - 5:00 pm daily Plains Depot - the 1976 Presidential Campaign Headquarters, and museum for all of President Carter's campaigns 9:00 am - 4:30 pm daily Boyhood Farm- The farm where Jimmy Carter lived from the time he was four until he went off to college. 10:00 am - 5:00 pm daily The Carter's Private Residence is not open to the public. |
