Annual Events

Each year the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site hosts several recurring events at both the Plains High School and the Boyhood Farm. The park is also involved in many of the activities which occur in Plains every year. The following is a list of these events.

January: Inauguration Day (Every 4 years)
February: President's Day; Academic Bowl
March: Peanut Classic Baseball Tournament
April: National Park Service Week
May: May Day Festival (Community of Archery/St. Mark AME Church); Old Farm
August: National Park Service Founders' Day
September: Plains Peanut Festival
November: Syrup Day
December: Community Christmas Sing; Christmas in Archery;
