The Jimmy Carter National Historical Park does not offer on-site lodging facilities. However, in Plains, the Plains Historic Inn and Antiques Mall, a privately owned and operated establishment, is available for visitors. Additionally, there is a diverse array of accommodations in the nearby town of Americus.

The town of Plains has two restaurants that offer a place to enjoy a meal. Bonita's and The Buffalo Cafe` at the Old Bank, offer a variety of food choices.

There are also several chain restaurants in the town of Americus. Please visit the local Chamber of Commerce for more information.


There are picnic tables located at the Plains High School Visitor Center, the Boyhood Farm, the City Park, and the Georgia Welcome Center, located just outside of Plains. There are drink machines at Plains High School in the bookstore and at the Comfort Station at the Jimmy Carter Boyhood Farm.
