Native Plant Talks at the National Park

INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL PARK: Grow your plant knowledge and plan out your own native flower garden while you learn about the diverse plant life that grows throughout the Indiana Dunes. Renowned botanists Steve Sass and Nate Scheerer will be sharing their expertise at the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center during two different programs.

On Saturday, May 27, from 10:00 am to 11:30 am, plant expert Nate Scheerer will talk about plants that are native to the area and how they can be incorporated into your own landscaping. 

Then, on Sunday, May 28 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, join renowned botanist, Steve Sass to celebrate the botanical treasures of the Indiana Dunes. Learn about plant communities and their essential role in the web of life. 

These two programs are sponsored by Friends of Indiana Dunes, who are holding their 27^th Annual Native Plant Sale on June 3^rd. Preorders are strongly encouraged. For more information call 219-707-3617 or go to www.dunefriends.org for an order form.
