Independence National Historical Park covers almost 54 acres in Philadelphia's Old City, and includes Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Congress Hall, Franklin Court, and other historic buildings associated with the founding of the United States. Notice to the Public—Closure Order 26–001 July 2, 2026 July 2, 2026 Independence Hall and Congress Hall are closed to the public from 12 noon to 5 pm. The closure is in efect to provide for operational activities related to the safety and security of individuals participating in a ceremonial event hosted by America 250, as well as to ensure visitor saftey.
