The South Florida/Caribbean Network is one of the 32 National Park Service inventory and monitoring networks. These networks monitor the condition of resources of park ecosystems.
The South Florida/Caribbean Network main office is located in Palmetto Bay, Florida, within the Miami metropolitan area. The network also has staff stationed in Virgin Islands National Park, in the U.S. Virgin Island of St. John.
A multi-level organizational structure has been implemented to ensure that the South Florida/Caribbean Network operates an effective inventory and monitoring program. This organizational structure comprises a Board of Directors, Science and Technical Committee, and network staff. The network operates with guidance and oversight of the Inventory and Monitoring Division of the Washington Office.
