The National Park Service (NPS) is allowed to issue permits for filming and photography to an eligible applicant so long as certain criteria are met. The permitting process includes filling out an application and working with NPS commercial services staff to ensure the request can be accommodated and planned for. NPS is required by law to charge a reasonable fee for commercial filming activities, and to collect any costs incurred as a result of filming activities. Please note that to be considered, notification of intent must be received by NPS at least 30 days prior to the preferred date of filming, and completed application packages submitted at least 10 business days prior to the date of filming. All instructions and fee information are available on the application form.
