Talk Story Sessions

“As a new national park unit, we have the opportunity to define the park’s future together. We’ve been working for months to bring these talk story sessions to our communities, and I encourage everyone to join the conversation and help shape how we preserve and share this important story for future generations.”

Be a Part of Our Future

The Honouliuli National Historic Site invites the public to help shape the future of visitor experiences at the park. The National Park Service will host five in-person and two virtual talk story sessions to gather ideas from gateway communities about how visitors can meaningfully experience and learn from this important site.

During each session, the National Park Service will provide an update on current visitation opportunities and invite participants to share their vision for the park’s future. Discussion topics will include how people would like to experience the site and what interpretive programs, amenities, or facilities would help deepen understanding of Honouliuli’s history and significance. Public feedback will help inform future planning for visitor experiences.

Read the talk story newsletter here.
