Start your visit at the Visitor Center, where park rangers are available to answer questions and help you get oriented. Allow yourself about 30 minutes in the Visitor Center, which is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily.

Get Started

Pick up the official national park map and guide and download the mobile app. Children can get started on their activity books to become Junior Rangers.

Visit exhibits that tell about Herbert Hoover's childhood and his later involvement in developing the historic site. View the 12-minute film Adventure and Great Undertakings: Herbert Hoover's Childhood in West Branch, which is played on request. Artwork by artists-in-residence are also on display.

Then, enjoy exploring the park!

Bookstore & National Parks Passes

Books, educational items, and gifts are available for purchase from the Eastern National Bookstore inside the Visitor Center.

Rangers issue free federal recreation lands passes (Access, Military, and 4th Grade passes) at the visitor center. Senior and Annual passes are no longer sold at Herbert Hoover National Historic Site.
