Hawai‘i Volcanoes National Park is among the most popular attractions in the state, welcoming more than two million people in 2017. Some park areas and roads remain closed due to damage from the 2018 eruption leading to severe crowding at many of the open park attractions.

This page provides parking lot information by location, with forecast busy times to help with planning your visit. Please be aware these are forecasts only and certain conditions may affect parking congestion. In addition to the parking areas on this page, there are numerous pull outs along Chain of Craters Road.
