According to the Hawai‘i Department of Health, the individual was in the park between noon and 6 p.m. and traveled through the Welcome Center at Kilauea Military Camp and other outdoor locations.
Individuals who were inside the visitor center during that time may have a higher risk of potential exposure.
The Hawai‘i Department of Health is leading the public health response. Anyone who visited the park between noon and 6 p.m. on March 3 and has questions or concerns about possible exposure should contact the Hawai‘i Department of Health:
• During business hours (7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. HST, Monday through Friday): (808) 286-8349
