Non-Profit PartnersNon-profit partners are authorized by law and exist to support environmental, educational and scientific programs and provide funding to aid these programs as an extension of the NPS mission. These include: Hawaiʻi Pacific Parks Association is a non-profit cooperating association working in partnership with six national parks in Hawaiʻi and American Samoa. HPPA supports interpretation, educational programs, research projects, publications, and cultural activities in Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. Friends of Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park is a non-profit organization that strives to connect people with the park through education, volunteerism, and philanthropy. The organization operates the Hawai'i Volcanoes Institute, providing field seminars and private tours.
National Park Arts Foundation provides Artists in Residence programs nationwide at national parks, including residencies for veterans, new media, poetry, and music.
