The temporary exhibit space is a portion of the Visitor Center that is dedicated to housing various artwork for a predetermined amount of time. The artwork features Harriet Tubman as the inspiration, subject matter, or focal point. The park has partnered with the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to showcase young, talented artists and their skillfull interpretations of Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad. The artwork uses an assortment of artistic mediums to educate, and inspire visitors.

The Harriet Tubman Byway Quilt serves as a visual representation of all 45 stops on the Harriet Tubman Byway. It is a collaborative work between the Harriet Tubman Museum and Education center and the African American Quilt Guild.
