Harriet Tubman National Historical Park

The Harriet Tubman National Historical Park is located within the City of Auburn. While there are currently no facilities owned and operated for public use by the National Park Service, our partners in the area offer some accessible accomodation for visitors.

Equal Rights Heritage Center

There are wheelchair accessible restrooms in our partner's building, the Equal Rights Heritage Center, located at 25 South Street. There is a parking garage across the street at 1, Lincoln Street, Auburn, New York.

Harriet Tubman Home, Inc.

The Harriet Tubman Visitor Center and Tubman Home for the Aged, located at 180 South Street, have two accessible parking spaces. The distance from the parking lot to the visitor center is approximately 125 feet along a level cement sidewalk. Exhibits are located on the first floor, and rest rooms are accessible.

Seward House Museum

The Seward House Museum offers accessible parking in its main parking lot, directly behind the Museum. The handicapped entrance is accessible from the main lot. A wheelchair ramp inside the entrance provides access to the reception area.Only the first floor of the Museum and its visitor bathroom are wheelchair accessible. Tour accommodations can be made for individuals unable to use stairs.

Service Animals

Service Animals are permitted to attend programs at the Harriet Tubman National Historical Park. Most areas within Auburn permit service animals, as long as they are leashed.See further information on our Pets page.
