Kipahulu Comprehensive Site Plan

Developing the Kipahulu Comprehensive Site Plan

The National Park Service is in the process of developing a new comprehensive site plan for the Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park. This plan will focus on improving visitor experience, natural and cultural resource protection, and park operations. It will identify the overall direction for the future development of this area of the park.

Public involvement is an important part of the planning process. The park will take into consideration the ideas, issues, and comments from the public throughout the development of the Kipahulu Comprehensive Site Plan.
