Children, ages 6-11, can complete one of the many Junior Ranger programs to earn their Gulf Islands National Seashore Junior Ranger badge!
To meet the Junior Ranger requirements, children need to complete on of the Junior Ranger handbooks available at park visitor centers, contact stations, and entrance stations. Handbooks can be checked and Junior Ranger badges awarded at the park's Fort Pickens or Fort Barrancas Visitor Centers in Florida, and Davis Bayou Visitor Center in Mississippi.
Each handbook and age group has different requirements. The program provides a great opportunity for children to learn about the natural wonders and historic stories and places of the national seashore. It's fun, rewarding, and free!
The following Junior Ranger handbooks are available for download. Children can complete the program at home and mail in the completed handbook for their badge, or bring it with you to the park.
