Start your tour here!

The Guilford Courthouse National Military Park Visitor Center is the first place you should begin your tour. Talk to a Park Ranger or Volunteer and they will give you a map of the park. At this Visitor Center you will learn about the Southern Campaign of the American Revolution and the events that led to the Battle of Guilford Courthouse. Artifacts from the battle and the American Revolution illustrate the past in our museum exhibits.

The Visitor Center building is open 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday through Sunday. It is closed New Years Day, Christmas, and Thanksgiving.

Opportunities

  • Explore the museum exhibits to learn about the Southern Campaign, the Battle of Guilford Courthouse, and see artifacts from the battlefield.
  • Are you looking for an ancestor or battlefield? We have a participants list of Patriot, British, and Hessian soldiers. Bring the name of your ancestor or soldier written down to help us pull them from the catalog.
  • Ask for a Junior Ranger book to help you learn about the battle, and then receive your badge!
  • Stamp your passport at the front desk! We have two park cancellation stamps.
  • Watch the park film "Another Such Victory" or the illustrated Battle Map program.
  • A public bathroom with a baby changing station is available.

Driving Directions

The Visitor Center is located at 2332 New Garden Road, Greensboro, NC 27410. Use this address when navigating to our park.

Due to faulty directions in Google Maps, Apple Maps, and other platforms, please drive along US 220/Battleground Avenue and turn on New Garden Road heading East. You will see the large brown sign saying “Guilford Courthouse National Military Park” on the corner. Drive up New Garden past the historic buildings where you will see our sign, then take a right into the parking lot.
