UPDATE: Out of an abundance of caution related to COVID-19, we are cancelling the open house scheduled for March 24th. Instead of a meeting, we will take written comments and questions until March 27th. Details can be found on the First State NHP Facebook Page.

What: Since the establishment of First State National Historical Park (NHP), various names have been used to refer to the 1,100 acres of the park located in Wilmington, DE and Chadds Ford, PA. The National Park Service is now working to determine a consistent name which will be used on park signs and in official documents. The park will hold an open house to gather public input into this decision. Attendees can stop by any time during the two-hour open house to submit their comments and ask questions. If you cannot attend the meeting, please feel free to submit your commits to e-mail us no later than March 27, 2020. The feedback received at the open house and by e-mail will be integral in making a final decision.

Where: The Pilot School, 208 Woodlawn Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803

When: 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m., March 24, 2020
