Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site will not accept applications for permits for demonstrations or for special events that are scheduled to occur until May 15. All events currently scheduled will be cancelled or postponed to a later date, at the discretion of the applicant.

Depending on conditions when your event is scheduled, the National Park Service may make changes to permits it issues or cancel events in order to implement public health guidance.

For more information about photography/film or special use permits, please call the permit office at 202-690-5152.

Reservations are required for group tours (11-60 people). Call 1-877-559-6777 at least one week in advance of your group's visit to make a reservation.

If you are visiting on your own or with a group of fewer than ten people, reservations are not required, but they are strongly encouraged. Space on each tour is limited; a reservation will guarantee you get on the tour. Visit or call 1-877-444-6777 to reserve tickets at least one day in advance.

There is a $1.00 reservation fee for each reserved ticket. School groups pay a flat fee of $10.00.
