Guidelines for Video Contest

Guidelines:

Students will choose a Douglass Speech and do a creative video that keeps the essences of Douglass’ message while interpreting and adapting Douglass’ words into music, spoken word poetry or another creative format. Videos must use clean language and the content must be appropriate for a family audience. Completed videos must be uploaded to a YouTube channel. If you do not have a YouTube channel, you will need to create one for this contest. Please note, you can create private YouTube channels that only you have access to and not open to the public. A link to your video must be submitted via email to the park by the deadline.

Length of Video:

3 minutes or less

Dates:

▪ Applications accepted beginning Tuesday, December 1st (applications received before this date will be returned)
▪ Application deadline, Friday, December 18th at 11:59 p.m.
▪ Video Links due by email on Friday, January 8th by 11:59 p.m.
▪ Winners will be announced by Friday, January 14th
